January 16, 2019AnnouncementsNew program to enable Ascend members to build their strategic network and develop critical leadership skillsTORONTO, January 16, 2019 — To support the advancement of current and future Pan-Asian business leaders, Ascend Canada and Ten Thousand Coffees are working together to help thousands of Ascend members gain access to career related networking and mentoring.Over a simple cup of coffee, members will develop soft skills, explore career opportunities, learn about other industries, and grow these connections into an impactful and diverse knowledge network. More than 80 per cent of Ascend Canada leaders and members surveyed feel that sharing and gaining career advice, respectively, are a key benefit of a networking program.“When we nurture strong strategic networks by sharing our stories, we create opportunities for ourselves, our employers and our communities,” said Kelvin Tran, President, Ascend Canada. “We’re excited to partner with Ten Thousand Coffees to offer every member of our community of Pan-Asian professionals an opportunity to connect with purpose, build skills and shape a powerful career network.”Leveraging the Ten Thousand Coffees enterprise learning and development platform, Ascend Canada members will be given monthly, data-driven introductions to other members based on their unique career goals and interests.
